New from MO
Been browsing these forums for a while, but thought I'd register 'cause I am needing some engine rebuild advice (for another thread).
Two years ago I aquired my Grandfather's '69 GMC C2500. He bought the truck new in August of 1969, it was outfitted with a Camper and was used as a cross-country hauler for many many years. At some point the camper was removed and the truck was used sparingly as a truck. My father obtained the truck for a while, but it was eventually given back to my Grandfather before I convinced him to give it to me in April 2007. My Grandfather passed away about a month later, may he rest in peace. The truck has been well kept and is basically all original, but needs some love as it is showing its age. Here are a few pictures: |

Re: New from MO
Dunno...according to the paperwork this one was built in St. Louis. So I guess you have GMCs from STL and Chevy's from KC.

Re: New from MO
The plan is to keep it running and restore as I go. Right now I am considering my options for a motor rebuild.

Re: New from MO
I know that my '69 Chevrolet C/10 was built in St Louis as well. Can't wait to get a closer look at your truck. Are you considering taking it to the cruise at Bass Pro? I think it's the 2nd Saturday of the month, or we have a cruise here in Jefferson City the last full weekend of the month.
