New project
I have been looking for a new truck and found this on ebay. $250 for the new project. They already converted to p/s and disc brakes. It has a 3" body lift which will be the first thing removed. Here's a pic.

Re: New project
Seems like a pretty good deal as long as it isn't in really rough shape. Does it come with any front sheetmetal? And as Joe said "and a big back window "

Re: New project
He said he has the sheet metal. "Was not included in the auction but will be cheap". I guess if it' not a good deal I will keep looking for panels. The cab look solid but someone hacked the dash for a radio. The wiring has seen better days a well. I'll pot more pics tommorrow.

Re: New project
I went to check this one out when he was advertising it as a short bed. He has a crap load of parts for these trucks but acted surprised when I told him it was a long bed. The winshield is cracked, bed needs work, the dash is butchered, the column is not original and is busted and no front sheet metal. Im pretty sure it didnt have disk brakes. 3" body lift? I doubt it. Maybe he means the air shocks? The only thing that keeps me intrigued is that bbw. At least he's still trying. Beware.

Re: New project
He said everything that you mentioned when I talked to him on the phone. Did not seem like he was trying to hide anything. It needs ALOT of work. I am not expecting a show truck for $250. Column can be changed, dah can be welded, ect. Maybe he swapped the disc since you saw it. It now has newer motor mounts and upper arms with rubber bushings.
You can see the what looks like a body lift in this pic. Int needs a ton of work old frt end I wanted another bbw cab as soon as I sold mine. The truck needs work, but I think it will be cool to work on with my son. Patience and alot of time looking for parts and she'll come together.

Re: New project
Well I gues you guys were right. I could not make it this Sat and he took that as I did not want the truck. I guess he could not wait until next weekend. I guess I'll keep looking.
