Can I use Jeep TJ coils on a Burb?

I know they worked great on the rear of my 60 truck, but can I use jeep TJ rear coils on the rear of my 63 burb?

It has heated coils now and still isnt low enough and 3 coils are touching each other.
I can get jeep coils for 30 bucks all day local.

Thanks

Also, BTW, is there a front coil I can buy without having to do mail order for the fronts?
It has heated coils and it dropped alot, but want better ride if possible.

Thanks again

I don't see why not. The stock Burb/Truck rear coils are the same as far as I know. Can't be worse than heated ones.

there is a chance that they will bottom out with the weight of all the extra sheet metal.
give joe231 a pm, I think he was having issues when his 100#+ dog was in the back.. I can't remember exactly what...
some guys had also mentioned using chevelle/impala springs, but I am not sure how low that got them.

not sure on the fronts

Re: Can I use Jeep TJ coils on a Burb?

I did have some issues with the jeep coils on our short fleet. any amount of weight in the back and it would bottom out over bumps. But heck for 30 bones give it a try (make sure you have some bump stops back there) and if you don't like it you could always change them.....
I don't know of a front coil replacement other than the lowered coils. Summit has some good deals.

Re: Can I use Jeep TJ coils on a Burb?

My 60 short/fleet had them, and I could just push on the rear bumper to hit the bumpstops, but I weight 340lbs.
All we carried was coolers and lawnchairs. And my 100lb 7up cooler toolbox.

It rides great.

I just got a pair of 02 Rubicon rear coils for free, so those will be in by weeks end.

I may be forced into baggin the front sooner than I wanted....

if it bottoms out too easily/often there's always the C-Notch option.
