signs of trans or TC trouble th350

Ok besides the usual slippage what are some signs of something wrong with a th350 or the torque convertor.

I ask because we just pulled out the 84's th350 which had been switched to a older model th350 because there is no TCC plugin on the trans BUT there IS a TSc or trans spark control on the pass. side trans. We yanked it out, put in a shift kit and a 2k stall, the stall was in my monte carlo and it had the same shift kit, b&m shift imporver setup in stage 2 form. Filled it with fluid and put it back in the truck.

Now we had the pump changed because the gears got broke or something, had pieces of metal in it. The TC also wouldn;t fully seat, so the trans guy said bad pump gears and switched pumps for us.

Now when we drive it it has this sort of a roar/shake/rumble feeling. It doesn't make noise, it's just like something turning isn't wanting to, kinda like the brake dragging, you can feel it, and usually it's seems to be like when it's ready to go from 1 to 2 but isn't because we're on the gas hard, or going from 2 to 3 same deal, ease off the gas and it goes into gear.

Now the trans. doesn't shift anywheres as hard as the one in my monte carlo, it won't chirp tires shifting at all.

The motor in the truck now is the same as in my monte, and only difference is it's the truck long tail th350 and it's 2.73 rear end which sucks. Mine had 3.42's I think the highway gears kills the shift power and all around power, which that's going to get changed.

But this weird feeling it gets would it be the trans. going down or what?
