Options challenge: Let's see your glove box sticker!
So what did or didn't yours come with? I will be in the catagory of "least" options. My original owner must have been a cowboy......this thing came with a saddle!!! This has probably been done in one manner or another. I just thought it would be interesting to see the actual options sticker.

So what the heck is that? Were they referring to a color? Or did they actually get to pick out a saddle and throw it in the bed when they bought the truck?

Re: Options challenge: Let's see your glove box sticker!
I don't have a pic of mine, but it came with a MILLION so called "options", most of which I thought were standard since about 1932. Here are the highlights. SOMEONE PLEASE CHIME IN IF ANY OF THESE MAKE MY TRUCK A BARRETT JACKSON CONTESTANT!!!!
Tinted glass Frt & Rear shocks - optional?? Aux spring eq Exhaust Emission Control HD starting motor 4 speed NP435 trans Special paint (no... it wasn't!) Blue vinyl trim Door edge guards HD front springs Brake Booster eq Oil bath air cleaner (probably should have save it, but didn't) 350 CID V-8 - finally, a worthwhile option! Power steering Tach chrome front bumper full foam seat - did they make a PARTIAL foam seat?? What the heck? Chrome hubcaps That's it... Out of all of that, no A/C... Dang the luck! |

Back in '68 it wouldn't surprise me what you could order them with. My '68 Custom Camper came from the dealer with a ............CAMPER!!!! ......and since when is a 4 speed trans an option? I thought that's the reason a "manual" trans is also called a "standard"!! Last edited by prostreetC-10; 07-14-2009 at 10:40 PM. |

Here's mine. Fairly well optioned for a base model truck I suppose. It's nice to have the gauges and while I like trucks without body side molding, the extra bright work does help it from looking too plain.

Crap all mighty! What question could I possibly ask you LHM that you wouldn't know the answer to when it comes to these trucks??
It's funny too.....like that 1st gear in the original trans had any value! To me it was a 3 speed. Hey Phat Tony.....was that a Blazer? Nice list! Last edited by prostreetC-10; 07-14-2009 at 11:49 PM. |

Re: Options challenge: Let's see your glove box sticker!
Here's my 71 and 72 chevy and 70 GMC Burb. 4x4 stickers! First one is of the 71. I think the glovebox lid was changed at one point. The vin.# is a 2wd I think, CC instead of CK, and the wheelbase is wrong. Second is the 72 and the last 2 are the 70 GMC Burb.

Re: Options challenge: Let's see your glove box sticker!
Option 525 is "Saddle Fawn" the interior paint and vinyl color. The exterior looks like 551 Anniversary Gold even though your truck is not a 50th.
