Started working on my s10 frame swap today!
As the title says started working on my 1948 gmc truck to s10 swap today. i wanted to get the truck as low as possible so i decided not to raise it off the frame at all. I drilled out the rivets on the factory 1948 mounts and intend to weld them to the s10 rails. the cab is sitting where it needs to be and the front clip was mounted today. My s10 is a short bed so i will have to shorten my bed a bit to get the rear wheels center in the wheel well. the bed is just sitting on there now for easier storage but here are a few pictures!

looks good sitting low like that. are you adding a tranny hump to get the body to sit on the frame?

to sit on the frame like i have it i had to remove the stock s10 tank. and will have to cut and build a tranny hump and a complete tunnel for my drive shaft. the s10 frame is at stock height. my plan is to putt a little bit bigger tires on it to keep it off the ground for driveability

Are you sure the cab and front end are where you want them? The front tire seems awfully far back. Instead of shortening the bed you could rework the rear suspension to get the rear wheels further back.

the front is pretty much how i want it. but the rear will still need some work i dont plan on doing any suspension and im kind of building a low budget hot rod out of this one so a shorted bed will fit the bill perfectly.
