R&R on Rear Leaf Springs
I'm in the process of doing a flip kit on the rear axle in my truck and decided to clean up the springs while I had them off. I took the leafs apart to clean them up and paint them and now I'm getting ready to put them back together again. I've noticed that the hole for the "center" bolt isn't actually in the center of the leafs, but rather offset slightly toward one end. I figured that I have to have them all offset in the same direction, but once the leafs are all back together, should the "center" bold be closer to the front of the truck or the back of the truck?
Why-o-why did I take both sides apart at the same time? |

Re: R&R on Rear Leaf Springs
LOL, good thing you posted this. I think instead of a drop kit I'm just going to flip it as well.

Re: R&R on Rear Leaf Springs
Thanks Grinch!
I think when I redo the rear brakes I'll stick to doing one side at a time! |
