73 to 80 compatable
Probably an answer already here some place but I didn't see it right away. I found a usable set of doors from a Chevy 1973 1 ton. Will they fit correctly (or at all) on my 1980 1/2 ton GMC? Thanks in advance.

You can run those doors on your 80, but won't be able to run your 1980 window regulators, and your 80 door panels will not directly bolt up to the 73 doors (but you can make them work). If the 73 doors are 100% complete with panels/glass/hardware...then it is a slam dunk swap.

73-76 doors are alittle different. YES, they will bolt on and look exactly the same.
....But, the door panels are 73-76 specific and you can not put power windows in the earlier doors. Chevy changed the inner doors for '77 so they could fit power window motors in there.
