Air shocks?

Im going to finnaly do my flip kit. Since this will require me getting new shocks and since I already have leafs removed would this be a good route to go incase I was to have to haul somthing so it dosent squat so much?

This will be for an 84 short bed 2wd half ton.

No. I do not recommend air shocks. I suggect geting standard gas charged shocks, and run helper air abgs if you want to haul a load.

Air shocks will probably be too long, and they aren't all that great anyway.

Like N2TRUX said, helper bags would be a better choice.

I've got air shocks on a slammed isuzu and they work good for when I'm hauling smaller loads of stuff (washer and dryer, plywood etc..) but when I hauled a load of stuff to the swap meet (2 sets of rims and tires, couple trannys, basically the bed was overlfowing) they did virtually nothing. long story short, they're good for basic stuff and better than nothing but an air over leaf set up from summit is only $180 and is probably more useful.

I'd stay away from running air shocks on these trucks, the upper shock mounts tear off the frame to easily. I'd go with some regular shocks & helper bags.
