Re: disc brake question
i know for a fact that the 60 is a torsion bar suspension and yours is a coil suspension so i don't believe that you would want that. not an expert but maybe some one else can chime in

Re: disc brake question
I agree with 63deluxfleet - CPP lists the 60-62 as one flavor and the 63-70 under a different assembly number. I don't believe the early version is going to be a direct fit on your suspension.
If the deal you're getting is a real bargain, it might be worth calling CPP to find out what the differences are. There might only be a couple small items you'd need which could still come cheaper than buying a whole kit retail. |

Re: disc brake question
If it's on a torsion bar front suspension, I don't believe they'll work on your '66.
If you want discs with a drop, just buy the drop spindles from a reputable seller like McGaughy (they make spindles) and the rest of the parts are off the shelf items at your local auto parts store.

Re: disc brake question
Yes it is.....you just need '71-'87 front suspension parts starting with the ball joints and it will all bolt right on your '66 control arms. Or if you want to upgrade the control arm bushings to the later style you can install them onto your existing crossmember. Of course when you upgrade to discs you will have to upgrade the master cylinder/combination valve as well.
Essentially you don't have to spend the big bucks to get front disc brakes on your truck.
