proper tranny fluid?

I have a 700r4 in my 65 truck. I just put 5 quarts of Dexron III and when I checked the dipstick I notice it said Dexron II only. Do I need to drain the transmisson now and start over or is the Dexron III complatible? I don't know what year or model the tranny came out of as it can with the truck when I bought it. Thanks for any help I can get
