Re: money pit

WOW! Talk about a blast from the past. That truck was built by a very good friend on mine. It toured the nation for a few years hitting ISCA shows and won the Grand National Truck Champion title before he retired it.

He sold the truck, trailer, and display the next year. What's amazing is the new owners never drove it all these years.

Re: money pit

Wow ! I remember that truck at Super Chevy Houston back in the day .The paint isnt shown well enough in the pics . The consold and seating blew me away back than and would probably still do it today . The paint went from a very dark red to the magenta and then a fade of peach before the white on bottom . The bumpers ......
That truck had/has it all .

Re: money pit

I´ve seen it in Sport Truck magazine in the early 90´s and that was the truck that inspired me to lower mine instead of just rebuilding the original suspension!
I even kept that magazine but can´t find it anymore!
I love the Corvette IRS and even bought one but never figured out how to install it. Sadly enough i sold it in a weak moment!
Now i´m inspired again to get more out of my loved longbed.
That interior is just great and the whole truck is a work of art!
Great!!! Wish i had the money to buy it!!!!
Does someone have more pics of it?

Re: money pit

The truck was first called "Crazy with the red" when it had the previous paint job. It toured the ISCA circuit for a season and did well, but had some stiff competition.

The owner decided to build it from the ground up. Once completed it was renamed "Back for Business" and dominated the ISCA truck circuit.

I will see if I can locate more pics of it.

That's a sad sad thing. It's a shame a truck that nice hasn't been driven around and showed off.
