swapping later spindles control arm question

Truck is a 1969 drum brakes.

I pulled the following parts off a 1980 c10, upper and lower control arms, spindles with rotors and calipers still attached.

What do I need to put these on my truck?

I thought I read that I need to use the later style outer tie rod ends.

Will the prop valve off the 80 swap right into the 69?

Re: swapping later spindles control arm question

Upper/lower arms will bolt on. I would use the u-bolts from the newer truck as they are a larger diameter and probably not as rusty. You will likely want to snag the brake lines off the donor truck as well to make the caliper/prop valve connections easier. Otherwise you will need adapters. Adapters will also be needed for the outer tie rods. Easy solution to this again is to snag the entire steering setup from the donor- link, inners, outers, everything. Remember you're going to five lug from six, so new wheels too...
