It easier if leave the channel strips out. Slide window over to get the rollers into the bottom guide. Easy to do but hard to explain.

Re: Door Glass Install Help???

I put the run channels and anti-rattle strips in the door shell first. I then put the glass regulator in the door with the screws loose, then the door glass with the open channel on the bottom of the door facing into the cab, I put it on the track and then put the regulator on the track attached to the door shell. With the glass down, I insert the vent window assembly. I loosely insert the three screws into the door, along the front edge, to secure the vent window assembly, followed by the two screws at the bottom of the vent window assembly leg. I then begin tightening the screws, frequently checking to ensure the window regulator will function properly.

I have found the most important part is to avoid forcing anything into place...if it doesn't go rather easily, something is out of place or catching up on something. When done properly, they don't fall into place, but the assembly process is relatively easy and pain-free.

I hope this information helps and let me know if I can provide any additional information. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Re: Door Glass Install Help???

When I start to roll the glass up...the front "leading edge" of the door glass hits the small piece of metal inside the door at the bottom of where the vent window goes??? Also, the back "trailing edge" of the glass hits the back side of the door - before the glass makes it all of the way to the top???
Do you not cement the glass to the channel it rides on until after you have that channel on the two rollers? Does that matter? The channel is not quite as wide as the glass...is it critical where exactly the glass sits on that channel? I mean...does the glass go all the way to the front of the channel...all the way to the back...centered over the channel???

The glass is centered on the channel and sets in some adhesive rubber you can get at your local glass dealer, this goes on before putting it in the door. Make sure your glaas is faced the proper way. Did you try turning the glass around?

Yes...I have it cemented on the channel and the glass is facing the proper direction. It is probably an inch past center on the channel to the front.

Re: Door Glass Install Help???

If you get the twoo rollers in the channel you should be ok. Try different heights get one side started then move it over to catch the other side. Should be rather simple when you get in the proper position.
