37x12.50x16.5 wrangler mt
I have a chance to get military surplus 37x12.50x16.5 wrangler mt tires with 90% tread for $75 apiece.
What is everyones opinion of these tires? Is this a good price? How do they work offroad(in the mud/on rocks)? How do they wear on the street? If you have these, could you post a picture of them on your truck? I figure that if they are good enough for Uncle Sam they should be good enough for my beater, but I would be interested in anybody else's ideas!

I have a set on my truck 35x12.5x15 you can see it on 67-72 parts board under 70 chevy 4x4 4 sale.I love the tires on the highway and in the snow they seem to do real good. This seems like an excellent price, since I paid 205.00 for mine new. They have a puncture resistant sidewall which is a great bonus!I seen them on a jeep on 4x4tv and they look like they stick to rocks really good also.Haven't had them in the mud yet though, but I think they will do really good.

I spent about $450 a piece on my 37 inch tires new, so yah ... that's a hell of a deal. I have enclosed 2 pics of the truck for yah with them on it. I now run 42 inch swamper TSL's though but I think these tires are way better. This one is with about 5-6 inch lift.

Those look good and I'm willing to bet they'd perform as good as they look. Are those the same tires they run on say the Military Hummers? If so thats got to be some heavy duty rubber. By the way, nice truck 71blksuper4x4 Makes me wish it was mine every day I see it! Too bad your so far away and not looking to trade for a 72 2wd

they are pretty decent tires, i am not sure if the military versions vary from the civilian versions... they are decent off road tires, i run wrangler ATs and they arent bad at all.. i have spent some time mudding in hmmwvs and didnt get stuck, the military used 2 version of the wrangler MTs, a radial and biased ply. radial is 37" and i believe the biased ply is 36"...

I never have personally but thats whom the guys at work get them from. I believe they let you pick the tires you want.
