Re: Benchseat Conversion
if you can fabricate the proper spacers and weld them as necessary you can make almost anything fit

Re: Benchseat Conversion
I had a 93 bench in my 84 K5 and it was a little too narrow. I centered the bench in the truck and it felt like you set to the right of the steering wheel. It sucked.

Re: Benchseat Conversion
that getting me thinking is a 88-98 truck narrower than a 73-87 in the inside of the cab

Re: Benchseat Conversion
Yes the inside of the cab is 3"-4" narrower than the 73-87 truck cabs.

Re: Benchseat Conversion
I have a 88-94 in mine, and it is a little narrower, but my biggest issue is that it sits too low. The 95-98 seat I think would be better.

Re: Benchseat Conversion
I thought they were the same width. I like the wider seat so i can get more fat asses in my truck. Will stick with the stock bench if its the widest. 95 up?

Re: Benchseat Conversion
I'm only 5'8". I would be looking through the steering wheel. . . or sitting on a phone book.

Re: Benchseat Conversion
i've done it--lots. its more narrow and you have to use a 3" spacer on the front bolts. i used to buy a pipe thread nipple at the hardware store.
