A little bit about me and my truck

Hi guys
I'm new here, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Tony, and I live in Maine.

2 years ago I knew nothing about these trucks. Kinda a Ford man, actually, and that's what I was looking for; a '75-'77 F250 4x4 with a plow. Couldn't find that, and I ran across my '68 K20 4x4, and it was pretty similar, so I bought it.

It's pretty much stock, has what I was told was 65,000 original miles, a 292 inline 6, 4 speed with granny low, the plow setup is, if not original, is period correct. The truck is the original dark green (acording to the glove box sticker), but the front clip is orange underneath, and the bed was blue. The body was in pretty good condition, or so I thought, but that was because all the underbraces were rusted away, missing, and I didn't know they were supposed to be. So I had the whole underside replaced.

So by now the body is mostly all intact, and I've finally got that troublesome Monojet figured out. Might even be able to plow with it this year. My intention is to make it all new, just like it was in '68. A new old truck, that's what I'm after.

Welcome! Sounds like a good truck to work with, at least once all the supports are replaced! The plow sounds interesting. Good luck!

I do have a few pics, but I haven't quite figured out how to post them here yet.

What do you need with a plow if you aren't a farmer? Welcome from southeast Texas where we do not have to shovel heat.
