I was wondering if its possible to cut a coil out of an already lowered spring? Without ruining the integrity of the lowered spring? The rear coils on the back of my '69 c10 are dropped 4inches and the back end is a little too high for my liking. Any feedback would greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just put a lowering block between the trailing arm and rear end. Viola, lower truck.

To clarify both the top and bottom of the rear springs are pig-tailed. The pig-tail is what allow you to bolt them to the frame and the trailing arm. If you cut a pig-tail off you wouldn't be able to attach the top or bottom of the spring.

Any clue where I can find lowering blocks? Roughly what 's the cost of them? Thanks.

Make them yourself, or have a machine shop make them. Probably around $40 a pair. You will need longer u-bolts, maybe $30 a pair for those. I am sure you can find both for cheaper if you know the right people.

Thats what I would do. We can sell you a set of lowering blocks but its a lot less expensive to make your own. I once made a set out of Trailer hitch reciever type insert for a 1" reciever on a foreign car. They were in the $1.00 clearance box at a dept store. Just cut off the crooked part and used the straight section. drilled one hole per bar. It already had a hole for the pin. They were Galvanized to. $2.00 plus state tax

before installing lowering blocks make sure you get the longer ubolts that you need
