Dash Pad question

What year dash pad will fit an 86? Are there any differences between say an 80 dash pad versus an 86 dash pad? Or will any dash pad fit as long as it is from a 73-87 year truck? I have a line on a good pad but it is out of an 80 and I have a 86 any info you can give is appreciated.

Re: Dash Pad question

he lies it will fit on there BUT it is different in the design as you could see by looking at yours and his... I believe the 80 has the cut out for the VIN on the dash, I know the older ones had a VIN riveted to the cab . Its not the correct piece but it will fit, Ive put one on when i put an 82 cab onto my 76 frame and made it a 76 truck

Re: Dash Pad question

yeah, should be no problem. all trim lines in the trucks had one kind of dash pad and different inserts.
