Any feedback is appriciated!
I currently have a sbc350 and turbo350 trans in my 67. Edelbrock Thunder Series Endurashine 650 cfm carb (Jegs PN 350-18064). I have the March Brackets (serp style) chrome one wire alt., chrome ps pump, aluminum flame valve covers and two different style chrome air cleaners as well. I want to do the 6.0 swap and there is a guy locally that has offered me $1,500 for complete set up. I have no clue if he is offering me a fair price on my set up or not. Any feedback from the wise ones is greatly appreciated!!!

I have seen built motors in Portland Or posted for anywhere from $1000.00 to 6500.00 depending on how much they have into them. I would ask one question...will this sale get me what I want faster?

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
it came with the truk when I purchased it a year ago. I have seven hundred in just carb and brackets. I dont know much about the internals of the motor other than the cam is way too big for the heads that are on it.

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
$1500 would be a cheap price for that.
Make sure you have a handle on what all the 6.0 swap is going to cost, you may wish you had the 350 back or sold it for more mid way through the swap |

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
I have been doing a lot of reading (thanks to LFD!) on the swap and it looks to be challenging but very doable. I located a 2004 Escalade 25,000 miles complete engine, harness, 4l60e, even the radatior for 2,300 picked up.

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
Then ask for $2000.00 and take best offer.

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
I would say 1500 is more than likley fair considering unknown history on the motor,,, but no harm in asking 2000 to see if you can get it

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
1,500 would be too low in my opinion....I would ask like 2,200

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
Not knowing the build specs, mileage, previous treatment, etc. I would take the $1500 and run!

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
Look at it this way....1st gen SBC is not that expensive to build unless the internals are forged, etc or are expensive, big name parts like Callies. If it has iron heads, again, no biggie. So say, that alone is worth $1000 on the high side, which is pushing it. You got $700 in the serpentine set-up & carb. So, with it being used, just say that $500 is a darn fair price for it. There you have it......your $1500 for your LS 6.0. Strike while the irons are hot. It may be a while before the next buyer comes along with a price of $2000 that you want in this economy. Trust me, I've tried that before and found myself taking less than the initial offer was. Also, with more and more people going to LS set-ups it may be even harder to sell than you think so take the deal.

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
Id take it sounds pretty fair im sure if the internals on the motor were really high dollar the guy you got it from would have told your wallet

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
I would definitely take the $1500 and run seeing as rebuilt big blocks are barely selling for that around from where i'm from.

Re: Any feedback is appriciated!
I am about 2 hours east of you. A used small block chevy around here is worth 600-800 in running and driving condition. And can't hardly find one when you need one. I have several of them, and people ask me all the time to sell them. I would have to have about 2000 if it was mine. There sounds like alot of extra goodies that goes with it. Price all the new items and cut it in half and see what they are worth. Hope this helps.
