Re: lowering 1967 gmc

A flip kit mounts the rear axle on top of the spring pack instead of underneath on a leaf spring vehicle.A quick search should get you all the detail you need.

Re: lowering 1967 gmc

OK I DID THE FLIP
AXLE IS ON TOP OF SPRINGS IT DROOPED 9 INCHES
WELL THATS A LITTLE TO LOW FOR ME WILL AIR SHOCKS GIVE ME ABOUT THREE INCH LIFT AND A DECENT RIDE
OR SHOULD I GO WITH BIGGER LEAF SRINGS
SHACKLES DIDN'T GO LOW ENOUGH AND THE FLIP WENT TO LOW

Re: lowering 1967 gmc

It sounds like your rear springs are too soft or maybe some leaves have been removed.

You do not want to use airshocks to raise it back up. They will give a very rough ride.
