Wiring Question

I'm going through all of my wiring in the truck, replacing what needs to be replaced, but am not experienced in wiring. I've found a wire that was about shot, but not sure what it is.
It connects from the starter up through the middle of the firewall, in with some other wires. It connects with a very small circle end connection at the starter. Would anybody mind helping me out with what this one is? I appreciate it.

Re: Wiring Question

Thanks for the reply. Not able to post yet. I wonder if there are wires for thisapplication on the market (been doing harnesses this week) for this or if this is just a replace with common wire of a certain gauge? Thanks.

Re: Wiring Question

on the starter you should have two small posts. one has the letter s witch is for start where the purple wire goes. the other one has an r for resistor so you dont need that one, its for a points distributor

Re: Wiring Question

Hey thanks for the info. chopper, I appreciate it. I'll make another go at this wire. Electrics are a bit confusing to me but gonna keep working on it.
