gass tank filler neck seal?
Im having trouble getting the rubber seal that goes around the filler neck back in the cab? My truck is in primer right now and im struggling, if it were in fresh paint I would really be sweating it. Does anyone know a good trick to this???

Re: gass tank filler neck seal?
I just unclamped the filler neck form the rubber tube connector inside and pulled it out. Then it is a piece of cake to put the seal in and easy to put the neck back.
I may be misunderstanding the problem you are having though. TR

Re: gass tank filler neck seal?
Install the fuel tank with the rubber starter hose on it with the lower tower clamp tightened and the upper tower clamp finger tight. Smear some dielectric grease on the inside of the rubber starter hose and around the inside of the cab opening. Insert the rubber filler neck grommet and make sure the detent is in the correct location. With the grommet in the proper position, smear some dielectric grease on the inside of the rubber filler neck grommet and insert the filler neck into the grommet and into the rubber starter hose. I spin it into position, instead of trying to push it directly into the rubber filler neck. Once in position, tighten the upper tower clamp and install your gas cap. Viola, job complete. Reverse the process when removing.

Re: gass tank filler neck seal?
I use a snubby combination ratcheting end wrench...it is tight, but you can get your hand up there.
