A Arm Question + Rear Axle Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was hesitant to post this because I know it has been discussed before. I do do a search and could not find it. I have a 77 1/2 ton 5 lug, will the A Arms in the 77 fit into my 67 1/2 ton 6 lug. Will they bolt in without modification. I have the Energy Suspension Kit for the 77, plus the rims I want to use are 5 lug.

I know the rear axles in the 67 are different from the 77, if I decide to replace the axles to convert to 5 lug does any one have opinions on where to buy new axles, I heard the Dutchman makes a good axles at a decent price.

77 a-arms will swap to the 67 no problem.
Conversion axles are available from ECE, Moser, CPP, & prob others as well.

The 77 control arms can work. You will need the ball joints for the 1967.You will need to use the arm shaft and bushings assemblies from the 77.

You will only need the ball joints for the 67 if you reuse the 67 spindle and 6 lug hubs/drums. If you use the 77 spindle and 5 lug disc brakes, you will need the 77 bal joints.

Yea youre right. I was thinking of re-using the 67 spindles, and not thinking about which brake he has. Probably because we make 5 lug kits for the OE spindle.
