New guy with a short wide

I have been paroosing your site for a while in the dark but I decided to finally post some stuff on my build. I recently bought an 85 short wide and some goodies. The truck is in fair shape but its the goodies I was more interested in. Heres some of the list.

.030 over small block 400,TH400 and 12 bolt rear.
Eagle forged crank shaft
Competition products full floating forged rods with polished beams
SRP forged flat top 2 relief pistons
cammotion solid roller cam
manley severe duty valves
Harlen Sharp rockers
protopline 200cc heads (P&P)
Hooker supercomp 1 3/4 headers
Weind stealth intake
Holley 750 double pumper
Complete MSD ignition

This should be coming together this weekend hopefully, It really aught to be a blast. looking for 450RWHP and over 500ft/lbs!
(thats going to be kinda basackwards my Camaro only made 424 RWHP lol)

Unless that cam is real mild,, I suspect you will be pleasantly surprised with tire shreading torque

Welcome aboard!

Re: New guy with a short wide

Sounds like a nice 406 SBC build to me!

And should be a very healthy one at that.

Your camshaft is bigger than the one I am planning on installing.

Duration @ .050'' 234° Intake/238° Exhaust
Lift @ Valve .539'' Intake/.548'' Exhaust
Lift @ Cam .359'' Intake/.365'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation Angle 112°
Intake Centerline 107°
Intake Timing @ .050" Open 10° BTDC
Close 44° ABDC
Exhaust Timing @ .050" Open 56° BBDC
Close 2° ATDC
