67-72 a/c acc. on 73-87?

is the air conditioning for the 67-72 chevys different then on the 73-87's?
is anything useable at all?

the older trucks had the longer compressors but if you had all the brackets you could mount it.. the issue would be the refrigerant lines which MAY have to be custom made, but alot of places can make these up if you search custom hoses. It would prolly be cheaper to use the right set up

The 67'-72' trucks used a different type dryer, compressor, refrigerant lines, a POA valve vs. pressure switch, etc. Totally different system. I personally would look for a junker to take the correct system out of instead of trying to retrofit. You will save yourself much money and frustration doing it that way. Good luck.
