New Project -1964 C10 LWB 283 3 speed manual

Just picked up a '64 Chevy long wide bed truck today. *Was going to trailer it home but I drove it instead. *The truck was parked in '04 with nothing really wrong with it. *It's got the original 30k mile rebuilt 283 bored .010 over with 305 heads. *The truck is pretty stock but missing the trim down the side, trim behind the doors, emblems on the fenders. *I am going to get the truck going mechanically and look for the trim stuff and look into getting the wood in tge bed replaced.

That truck looks pretty decent aside from the bed wood. It appears to be relatively straight and no visable cancer. Good find

Re: New Project -1964 C10 LWB 283 3 speed manual

It had a Sears Air Conditioning added at some point and has the sticker on the pass. wing glass to prove it. I am going to go through the brakes this week to see why there is no pedal. Then I am planning on taking all the air stuff off.
Truck does have a little rust but not as bad as some I have seen.
I am not real familiar with these truck so I don't know about the deluxe heater box vs econo knob.
Is the side trim for these common? Are the emblems/side trim/trim behind door glass specific for '64 or are other years the same?
Also, the truck is origianally a gold color and in the vin it shows paint as 559AD, anyone have a pic of a truck this color?

The Custom Cab optioned side trim is the same from '63-'66 on the Chevy's and is available in reproduction from various suppliers.

I believe the 'Economy' heater used the same box in the engine compartment but had a smaller heater core and a single push/pull/turn knob for controls.
