how do you bag the front of a 62 pick up with torsion bars in the front?

I would assume you would have to lose the bars.. and plate and cup the control arms

That's what is recommended for 2002 Tahoe and the have torsion bars..

Yeah I'd like to know too. So I could just remove the T-Bars and use the original A-ARMS, weld in plates and install bags or... install shockwaves in the original shock location?

I don't know why not, I mean, torsion bars aren't some mysterious alien technology. They're just springs. If there's enough room between the a-arms for bags, then you (and maybe I) should be able to do this like we would a coil-spring model.

My friend bagged his '62 they way you describe. Removed torsions from the a-arms and then just plated and sandwiched a bag in there. He had a machine shop press the rods out, FYI.

I would not use shockwaves to support your truck off of shock mounts; they are not made for the load.

shockwaves are an airbag with a shock inside the bag. Basically an all-in-one install for trucks with torsion bars...if you're bagging anything and aren't familiar with some of the parts and pieces i would spend sometime on ridetech.com..

shockwaves are sold for 2000-2006ish tahoes and suburbans using the stock shock mounts to support the truck. I would think that they can handle the load otherwise they wouldn't sell them (tons of street rods run shockwaves).

I don't know about 62 setup, but if it's already running a shock the shockwave would be a much easier install and not mess with the geometry as much as just welding a plate to the arms. I would guess you could add support to your stock shock mounts if you're worried about it, but i'm assuming they're stronger than you think. It's not like bagged truck is going to do much off roading...

Get a Dropmember.
Nate makes his front Dropmembers for the torsion bar trucks also.
You get a mustang rack for steering, a ton of extra ground clearance, and bags, of course.
The second picture appears to be ride height.

i want to keep mine as original as i can. and plus i dont have the money for all these drop members and stuff like that. the only reason i am bagging it is cause i already have the stuff from another project

when you bag it you take the torsion bars off and the bags are like springs

Exactly!
The Dropmember allows you to modify your torsionbar frame and use stock 73-87 a-arm or aftermarket tubular a-arms.

I don't think any other company offers air ride suspension products specifically for the 60-62 chassis.
