Re: Finally making it to the track...
Thanks guys.. Any predictions?? Motor and N20??
Truck makes about 20 more HP Weighs 300lbs less Has a 4.56 gear vs a 3.73.. This time I'm hoping to get both kits working with a 200-300 hit in it.

Re: Finally making it to the track...
You really want a prediction,,, Truck weighs 300 pounds less, has 20 more HP, going to hit it with 200 or 300 compared to the 11.2's on a 100 horse shot........
10.48 blacktracking to the 1/8th Even if you keep it hooked up,,, I don't think it will dip into chassis cert territory. These things are about as aerodynamic as throwing an apartment complex down the track. But I hope you prove me wrong

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Marv,
I'll be leaving on motor with the window switch set a few hundred rpm above the verter. Then letting the 100 hit come in graving the second stage right after the gear change. If it works I'll up the second stage. I don't think it'll go in cert area but hopefully a .30

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Frustrating when you only get three passes in. 11.57@117.9 and 11.65@117.8 on motor. Bottle had a fuel issue and the fuel pressure safety switch kept turning it on and off so I just lifted. I'll try to get back out soon.

those are still some pretty good times! It's still plenty early in the season to get things dialed in. Get any vid from the track today?

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Ya know,,, I swear to gawd I aaallllllllmost said it was gonna slow down a few tenths,, because it seems that first trip out is nothing but find the dang issues and get ready for the REAL test (LOL)
Hey, at least the issues are minimal and you will be ready to put a hurt to the slicks next time.

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Always take to some time to a new set up figured out. I've been at the track the 4 weeks in a row and still have a few issues to iron out. Assuming thos passes are all motor, its pick up a little bit so atleast your time wasn't compelely wasted. Good luck man, Chris.

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Just flow the nitrous side fuel pressure each time you go to the track and bypass the fpss. I have heard of too many problems with those so I don't use one. I have a homemade flow tool with a a big gauge that flows through a 73 holley jet.

Re: Finally making it to the track...
Well I just noticed a couple things in the data logger.
The verter was only flashing to 4400-4,500 vs 4,900 last time out. There might be a few things causing this IMO. 1) The intake change caused me to loose about 10ftlbs on the initial hit. 2) I just notice the timing table never got changed from the street tune. So I was not giving it everything it had on the launch. At 4,400 I was only giving it 19* of timing, fading in to 28-29* at 6k rpm, not the 28-29 I normally do out of the hole. 3) The weight change, not having as much weight loading against the verter. Another thing I noticed, on the 2-3 shift, RPM drops about 2,100rpm. If at 7,200, this puts me at 5,100. Again, in the low timing table fading in to full timing at 6k. Seeing as I'm going through the traps in 3rd at 6k rpm, I never had full timing in 3rd gear.. How much will these couple of things change the motor pulls? Who knows, but hopefully it's worth something.
