65 seat cover color

Looking to replace the seat back and bottom upholstery on my 65 and was wondering what the stock color is called. It appears to be a light off white tan color but GM never called it that. Anybody know?

Re: 65 seat cover color

Original Auto Interiors. They have supplied the Vinyl and Fabric for the seats I have done for the 63 and the 64 GMC ( sold it ). They know their stuff. The have reproduction vinyl sometimes original in the finish of the original. Haircell finish on the 63 and whatever finish for the GMC.

Re: 65 seat cover color

interior color was called fawn, but do not know the official name for the seat vinyl.it is the same color of the interior paint.if your truck does not have the two toned nylon and vinyl seat cover it is the standard seat pattern.which has a embossed design on it and is solid fawn color.may be able to get new reproduction or oem old stock vinyl, but reproducing the embossed design is anybody's guess.
