Re: Trucks TV

Hopefully they will now release the complete project on DVD. They offer several others on earlier builds.

Re: Trucks TV

I thought that it was funny Ryan stated that the glass was over 50 years old. It's a 66. That works out to 44 years by my backwards math. I still love the truck, though.

Only one I could find- might be more out there-
I watched the last episode when they were driving the truck- the reverse lights kept coming on when they were driving- other than that it was a really nice job. If that was the only snafu after all they did to the truck they were way ahead of the game.

Edit- include link to episode 9

Re: Trucks TV

I don't think they ever said what is going to happen to that truck. Do they keep it around as a shop truck or sell it to recoup investment?

Thanks for posting the link to the episode, I don't get that channel anymore so I was glad to be able to see it. I had taped various episodes going back 3 years hoping they'd get it finished some day, and have been impressed with many aspects of the build.

I dislike being critical of such an interesting project and beautifully finished truck, but it drives me nuts they didn't bother to align the wiper arms before focusing so much camera time directly on them. And although the massive wrinkles in the 66 seat cover are a vast improvement over the wadded up headliner they put in the Project Old Skool 53 F100, they should really farm out their upholstery to someone that knows how to do it correctly.

I saw the recap episode and KT mentioned it was going away but not really specific about the reason.

Re: Trucks TV

Any thoughts on having the tank and compressor behind the seat in the cab anyone? I'm trying to decide where to put mine. Any reason besides compressor noise that that's not a good idea?

Depending on what type of line you run, passing thru metal on the cab isn't good. I'm thinking of the standard air line. Hard line; no problem.

I wouldn't want to listen to the compressor.

Re: Trucks TV

I have watched every episode this truck was in and recorded them. I have to say that this truck is amazing. I love everything about it. I think they did a great job of not too over the top with it. In the last episode they took it for it's 1st drive after completion, and it was such good inspiration for me that I finally got the rest of all my patch panals welded in and now working on the final body prep for paint. And hopfully will paint it next week.

Re: Trucks TV

Awhile back they put some of the cars from Power Block TV on Ebay and sold them. I think the Nova (Old Blue Hair) may have gotten the highest price. Now maybe this will happen to the '66 too.

Re: Trucks TV

I have been watching this build from the very beginning and its just great, I plan on doing alot of the same things with mine but she's already a short bed. I went to the page where the down loads are on and uploaded all the episodes but the last one (you have to wait awhile before its ready for download) on ITunes and they cost $1.99 per episode. I think I can put them on my own CD but I haven't tried it yet. It's great for them to finally do something with this body style.

Thanks for the heads up on the iTunes downloads. Didn`t even dawn on me to look on iTunes. How many episodes were there? I downloaded four episodes I think, plus an episode of Horsepower TV when they rebuilt the motor for the C10.
