Suburban seat question ???

My neighbor found a 65 Suburban that he is thinking of getting ... Problem is , it has no seats in it ... Before he buys it he was wondering how hard it would be to find all the seats and roughly how much he is probably looking to spend to get all ...He's basing the buying thought on what he might have to spend ... I said get it anyways ... what are friends for ... Thoughts or possible price thoughts ??? Thanks guys !!!

Re: Suburban seat question ???

They occasionly pop up but some pieces are hard to find. I think the rearmost seat and the jump seat are the tough items. I sold mine cheap....

Re: Suburban seat question ???

The original Suburban seats aren't very easy to find. Personally I wouldn't worry about finding original seats. You can put other seats in it that will work fine. A set of buckets fron a K5 Blazer will work and they have the passenger side seat that tilts forward for easy access to the rear. You could also likely fit a K5 Blazer rear seat into the Suburban. There are other seats that will fit nicely too. I've seen/read of some here but I can't think of who has them right now.

Re: Suburban seat question ???

There is a thread on here where a guy put all the seats out of a 00-06 sub in his burb. I could'nt find it this morning. Nice front seats for those year models from ebay usually run $150-300 for cloth 500 and up for leather. Those years from tahoe, yukon, sub and silverado have the seat belt built in to the seat. I've been looking for a seat for my 64 c 10.

Re: Suburban seat question ???

I had the same problem but i just needed the passenger side i found this guy out in Sacramento that has one in okay condition for $100 and $40 for the brackets im going to pick them up on the 24th (its about an 8 hour drive from my house) and ill look around to see if he has any more. Like captinfab said "they are not easy to find" but your neighbor can put many different types of seats in it, it just depends on how is he planing on restoring it or what he likes.

Re: Suburban seat question ???

I Appreciate everyones input !!! He still hasn't commited to the rig ..I told him just get it and worry later about the seats , he wants to go all origional on the seatng .. I think it would be great using like the newer Yukon seats ...We found some frames , not all .. He was asking $250.00 minus the passenger flip up seat ..
