Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

I'll take them. One question Special-K...there isn't any pitting on them or small dents are there? PM me an address to where I can send my money order.

Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

Description says,....... "$40 shipped/no paypal." Key word being SHIPPED. I read it correctly and said I'll take them. But no big deal.

Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

Rawraw67 has first dibs.I think it`s safe to assume you will take them since $40 was ok and that`s the final cost.LMK.
68Jewel,you`re next and they are not dinged or pitted.I guess they were painted to freshen them up and they weren`t sanded. If anything they`re too smooth.

Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

Can someone or mods clarify for me. Special-k, I'm not trying to be difficult or anything. But, just so I'll know in the future just in case I want to sell something. There was a post just like this a few months ago too. If a seller post something and some one responds first with questions rather than definitive statements how does that put them in line first. I thought while prospective buyer #1 is wasting time asking questions trying to make his mind up and prospective buyer #2 absolutely says, "I'll take them," because he knows what he sees is what he wants regardless of shipping, rust, quality, paint, etc. Even if you didn't say shipping included I would have jumped on it. I mean how much can shipping be for a pair of bezels? What $20 at most. Therefore I jumped on it instead of wasting time asking how much is shipping. Same way if you post an original fender, hypothetically. I will jump on it realizing shipping may be approx $100. I wouldn't waste time on asking questions for fear someone else would say...."I will take it." Mods is it asking too much to please clarify that if prospective buyer #1 wants to buy something with a question they need to at least say they want them pending shipping. Therefore, once they find shipping not to their liking they will pass and prospective buyer #2, #3 and so one knows the pecking order. I STILL WANT THESE AS I AM #2 IN LINE.

Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

Normally I would agree, the first affirmative response. But here it was an oversight of the fact that shipping is included.I think it`s fair to assume "he`ll take it" since $40 wasn`t too much and shipping would add more.To me that means he`ll take them for $40.With a "plus shipping" sale when some respond pending shipping quote,I feel it`s only fair to claim next if the one before you decides shipping adds too much. What if you say "I`ll take it" and find shipping exceeds the cost of the part(s) that you could buy elsewhere? Are you not allowed to back out?I feel we can allow for an oversight here, especially when you came along only an hour or so after him, before I could have corrected him.My computer was acting up and I missed a day.I guess there`s some fudge factor in this particular deal.I`ve been where you are and just feel this case is different.I`ve seen parts that I don`t care what it costs,I just have to have. There`s others wanting pending shipping and I feel I should be first because shipping cost doesn`t matter.I think they are being cheap. But,courtesy plays in here on this sight amongst members is how I see it.

Re: 67/68 Painted Headlight Buckets

Special-K, take a look at this thread and tell me how is it different from our scenario. I think this is the exact situation and buyer #1 specifically said he will take them. In our case buyer #1 never said he will take them. It's not my fault he didn't read the thread correctly or as you said an "oversight." Imagine you go thru life overlooking the speed limits, overlooking children are crossing the street, overlooking your mortgage to your house, etc. I don't want no trouble, but this stuff just doesn't sit right, as there are so many people on this site who like to yap about "per forum rules this" and "per forum rules that." I reiterate, I don't want any trouble as I hope we can do business some other time and if you see my name I don't want you to think, "Oh my God! There's 68jewel again." LOL!! Have a nice day.
