Best drop spindles to get

I am trying to get a consensus from all you professional garage mechanics and beer drinkers, on which drop spindles are the best on (2) fronts: price and reliability. I am looking to do maybe a 4" - 4.5" / 6" drop. I already have the Bell Tech kit for the rear. 3" spindle with how much of the coil cut or: 2.5" spindle with how much of the coil cut?

I did a 2.5" McGaughy spindle with a 1" drop coil (that I later cut a 1/2 coil off of to get the truck to sit level...for a total of 4 1/4" drop in the front). The spindle fit beautifully and was by far the least expensive one after shipping. I had absolutely no issue at all with them. I used the 2.5" drop because I planned on using the stock 15" Rally and didn't want to grind on my lower control arm.

I, too, just did a flip in the rear, for 5.5" of drop in the rear.

The pictures are before and after the 1/2 coil cut.

Check out grunions in AZ. They had the best prices when i was looking not too long ago. They sell Mcgaughys for $217...

You might give Jeff at CPP a call, too. They are a board vendor, but they beat those prices on my spindles, IIRC.

they'll rape ya on shipping though..i just ordered my spindles, springs and flip kit, and sport truck direct took me for $100 for shipping altogether

I got my McGaughy's for $230 shipped off EvilBay last time, and it looks like they can still be had for $239 on there with very little searching. Just some info

Ouch...................I guess I made out pretty good on that ebay flip kit/ c notch for $ 50. It's a shame everything that we need costs so much money. Spindles for an S-10 are 1/3 of the price

depending on the wheel size, you may want to stay away from 3" spindle. I have never heard anything bad about any of the current drop kit makers. Ive installed cpp, belltech, djm and they all seem to make good products.

thats not too bad considering the weight of all that stuff they charged me the same shipping and i got 5/7 drop kit,shocks, and upper/lower ball joints/tie rod ends
