Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
It's a lot more than I'd pay. Looks like 6-lug front and 5-lug rear? With 80's style gauges, steering column and gas pedal?

Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
maybe $2500.00 . but I paid $800.00 for my girl you see to the left. I gues its all in what you want and how bad you want it. I should have walked away from mine but couldn't.
wide as that wheel pattern looks like a ford rear. |

Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
That rear end could be from the same truck that gave up the dash and column. Full size have 5 on 5" pattern just like a ferd. That's a mess!
And I wouldn't have walked away from your truck. I'm sick for the '54/55S1s. Last edited by Dan Bowles; 04-09-2010 at 09:23 AM. |

Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
The rear end is a Chevy 10 bolt and it has 8" wide Chevy rally wheels .The bed is too long for the frame so they extended it by a foot. It has a 350/350 combo probably out of the same car as the rear end . The dash is really some thing else. I couldn't see paying more than 1,500 for this truck.

Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
I figure a lot of the value must be in the leather dash and gauge cover and ecclectic gauge package. It also looks light the rear cab corner has been cut off too.

Re: 50ish Chevy flatbed
I think that rear cab corner may have rusted out.
I'd be hard pressed to want to give 1500 for it let alone 4500 but all these guy seem to think that their stuff is made of gold these days. That said I bought a one ton and a one and a half ton yesterday both with titles but no engines for 100 for the pair. One has a decent cab and the other has the parts of the cab I need for my rebuild plus I got four good doors and a lot of scrap iron to haul off. I do have to make one way sixty mile trips to go get them though so that will run the price up a bit plus I'll have to buy my buddy gas, lunch and a days supply of Pepsi to get him to help. |
