door glass
The truck I bought is titled as a 53. the seller said it has 52 doors but they have no vent glass so my guess is they're 47-50. He gave me glass for the doors that are trimmed out in metal frames (very rusted frames and foggy glass). Question. Is or was this metal trim around the glass an option, can I put in bare glass with just the lower regulator channel attached? (using a new glass channel kit for the doors.) Thanks for the help. Trucks are new to me.

Re: door glass
My understanding is that you have to have the frame around the glass. The felt won't hold the glass without them. Could be wrong. I kinda like the frame actually.

Re: door glass
Surely! I've gotten so much help from the forum I like to throw a few little things back in where possible!
Good Luck with your doors. I'm actually trying to get the cash to buy a set of the non wing window doors that are totally complete and rust free... the wife is the last barrier!

Re: door glass
I hear ya buddy. $139.00ea is the cheapest I've found plus another $100 for the all the door whiskers, channels & stuff. If you know of someone selling other than your own connection I'd be interested. Swap her a diamond ring for the windows. heh, heh.

I actually have all the felt and wiskers already because I was going to try and convert my current doors with stock parts which turned into a disaster. Combine that failed project with my failed suicide doors episode, I need new doors!
