Big hump vs small hump floors
Hey all. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this subject. I'm wanting to convert my truck to a big " removeable" hump floor. It seems all I can find and have seen is small hump floors. Is this more typical to 60-63. (big) 64-66 majority is small? Is it a 2wd vs 4wd thing? I'm not to knowledgeable on the pre 66 trucks , so chime in guru's!! Thanks a bunch.

Re: Big hump vs small hump floors
I had a high hump '66. It was a 3/4 ton with factory 4 spd., & 6 cyl. I currently have a 66 1/2 ton with the factory low hump. So maybe it's a 3/4t vs. 1/2 t thing.
Maybe Tony (Lilred66) will chime in, he'll have that info somewhere i'm sure. Hope this helps.

Re: Big hump vs small hump floors
automatics and 3-speed on the column shift trucks = low hump
4-speed trucks = high hump This information is specific to the '63-'66 Chevy light-duty trucks. Last edited by LILRED66; 04-17-2010 at 11:37 AM. |

Excellent info as always everyone! Now I know what to look for. It's one of those when you have it they are everywhere and when you need it they are hard too find things. Ha ha. Time to hit the bone yards !
