CAT Battery
If I took the battery off of a Caterpillar backhoe any hooked it up to my truck, would it be like having a battery with more load of would it over load my electrical system?

Re: CAT Battery
As long as it's a 12v battery, you're ok.

Re: CAT Battery
like said as long as its 12volt.. a lot of industrial (farm equipment and such) batteries are 6 volt wired in a series to make 12 volt though...

Re: CAT Battery
12v is 12v. Different batteries have different cca's & hr ratings. Not sure why you'd want one in your truck? A 8d wet battery weighs around 100lbs and a 8d agm or gel is closer to 160lbs. You'd be ahead by just adding a good automotive battery imo. A good auto agm will give you around 850 cca @ 55rs.
