decisions....

hey guys heres the deal. i have the chance to get a cadillac 500 with 400 tranny for 350 bucks. i love my lil 383 stroker but my dad has raised me to love speed. i think ill be able to sell my stroker for 2 thousand worst price but how much would it be to get the 500 to get above the 410hp mark ( thats what the strokers at). i know ill need a lighter crank but what else ? i already have the 4 core rad to keep it cool and i cut my own exhaust so thats np. and has anyone done it before? and the cadillac motor is garanteed running. thanks guys

Re: decisions....

That caddy will jerk your truck around smartly, even bone stock. And the fuel economy will surprise you That combination was designed to hual 6000 + pounds around town and still jump when asked. You can spend a ton of money building a 600 HP, high rpm screamer, but it's really not necessary. An intake manifold and carb swap and some ignition upgrades will give you coffee spillin', tire shreddin' torque and a rear gear change will get you a 17-1800 RPM Fuel sippin' cruise without loosin' the snap. Check out http://www.cadillacpower.com/forum/ What you want to do has been done before, for way less money than it takes to build any other big block. RED
