th350 converter lockup

hey i got a 84c10 with a 305/th350 combo

how can i check and see if my lockup converter is doing its job?
it dont feel like its locking up at all?

under acceleration at like 3000rpm im doing like 85
but when im just at highway speeds at 3000rpm im only doing 70

The lockup on mine feels like a third shift, but with a small decrease in RPM.

mine doesnt feel like a shift at all, but it seems like it dropped 200 rpm @ 70.

i dont see and feel anything.i keep my eye on the tach..is there a senser i can check or somthing?!

Tap your brakes when you are at cruising speed (over 45 MPH). You should feel it unlock, and re- lock up. There should be about 200 RPM or so difference.
