A/C brackets
Can some one post a picture of the a/c brackets mounted? I can't figure out where mine shound be mounted. Mine is an 83 and the compressor should be on the driver side. I have seen some that are on the passenger side but that confuses me to. I have a haynes manual but it don't show where they are mounted.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Re: A/C brackets
Thanks. My compressor don't look like that. I'm getting some pictures of my compressor and brackets for the other site and i'll post them here to see if anyone can help and see if I have the correct brackets. I have noticed I don't have bracket with a slider for adjustment but I'll double check and get the pics.

Re: A/C brackets
That's an 87 model, but should be similar to your 83 if not exact. I would not bet any money on it though.

Re: A/C brackets
That is what my motor is, forgot to mention that possobly important detail, the truck is 83 but the motor is 87 or newer crate motor wit center bolt valve covers.
Here are the brackets I have, the compressor that was given to me when I bought the truck(po never installed it after the motor swap) and the york that I want to use as the air compressor. I have seen kits for the york to mount but I can build a plate to mount to the factory brackets but can't figure out how to install them. Last edited by thrtsxchambers; 04-22-2010 at 08:36 PM. |

Re: A/C brackets
I just checked lmc and I see the mounting points for a stock compressor don't look like the I have so may not the for my truck. But anyway I just need to get the brackets installed and then work on getting the york mounted.
Thanks again for any input you may have. |
