Screwed

What do you do when you buy parts from a member and he does not send them. I give him plenty of time to ship. I get no replies from P.M.'s. I got screwed. I will give this two days then I will expose this fine member. You know who you are. I sent you money in less than 10 minutes. I am waiting 20 days and no shipment.

Re: Screwed

With the number of deals going on on the site that is bound to happen once in awhile. I think you have the right solution in giving the seller enough time to respond then expose him/her.

What did the moderator say when you contacted them?

Re: Screwed

I am waiting for something from I believe the same person. I paid on the 11th. His profile says he hasn't been here since the 19th. I sent him PM and haven't heard anything. I was thinking about notifying a Mod but have not yet.

Re: Screwed

I'm the type to always give a person the benefit of the doubt..... until he proves me wrong. I have found out that crooks and unscrupulous people are everywhere.

Unless the person died, is in a mental hospital or something catastrophic happened, 20 days is long enough in my book.

I actually did today they were in a small box I use to hold scissors/elec tape on my workbench??? Found them when looking for electrical tape. Don't know why I ever put them there but I did. Now I can return the two nuts and three washers I sourced from 7 different stops at NAPA, Advance, Auto Zone, Home Depot, and Lowes. They'll go out tomorrow funny man

Posting a warning about buying parts from charlesradcliff39. I did not get the parts I paid him for. I was contacted by another member who did not get parts from him as well.

Re: Screwed

I actually filed with Paypal today to try and get my money back from him. I paid him on the 11th and haven't heard anything yet. I know he was on this site at least until the 19th which is still plenty of time to either mail my item or at least PM me to let me know there was a problem. Hopefully I can get my money back. I also hope that something serious or life threatening didn't happen to him. I have been trying to be patient thinking he might be in a hospital or something. Hopefully he is ok and has a good reason for the delay.

Re: Screwed

Ratrod,
I filed as well. If you get any details, let me know. He told me he would send on the 13th of may. If he was on line the 19th he is a liar and a few other things I will leave omitted.

Re: Screwed

I filed today as well. Liz, who is wonderful to deal with, said to give this guy another week or so. I PM'ed ratrod67 because I'm concerned this guy is trying to sell the same thing to two people. He clearly spoke for the wheel ahead of me, yet the seller still offered it to me via PM. It sucks when this stuff happens because you get worried about buying from other people.

Re: Screwed

Guys I just hope it all works out for everyone. Thank you for the kind words. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. We never know what happens to folks in life. If it after a reasonable time, does not work out we step in and help as much as possible.
