Bunch of work done today.
Converted to 3/4 ton axles, new wheels, tires and 4 inch superlift! What do you think? Just need some paint now!

Re: Bunch of work done today.
Dang it bud shes niccceeee. She looks sporting the old paint. How hard was it to change it over to 3/4 ton? I've got a 1/2 ton swb 4x4 i'd like to change over one day. Again, Your truck looks very good.

Super simple swap as long as the U-bolts don't break. We did it in an hour or so. I think we had to put in a conversion U-joint on the back, don't remember for sure though.

Re: Bunch of work done today.
As soon as i got a job again and some funds i was planning on painting and leaving it stock, but after that photoshop experience maybe i should jack it up and put some meats on it. But then again its gonna kill any gas mileage i plan on having.

Re: Bunch of work done today.
16 miles south of Roswell and 1 1/2 hours from Ruidoso. I love Ruidoso. Hey good luck with the truck and the funds.

Re: Bunch of work done today.
My dad has a parts truck with a 4inch lift on it, dropped pitman arm and the steering stabilizer i planned on installing on my truck, Now im thinking about a new 2 inch lift or leaving it stock. I just got new tires, the next set i go with will probibly be 31x10 goodyear wranglers. Its always temping to lift it like in the picture!

Re: Bunch of work done today.
Hmmmm, Dexter,NM I know where it is,,,,, ditto for Las Cruces,,, I live in Artesia,,,,,Bulldog country.
I kinda agree on the paint,,,if you make em too pretty,,,then you worry about if it will still be in the driveway when you go look. I primered my 80 K10 all over and not real sure when I'll throw some paint on it. I painted the interior last weekend in a silver/gray 2 tone and looks nice. I am going to Roswell tomorrow to pick up a seat out of a 90's Dodge (gasp) that is buckets with a center console that will match my paint scheme really good. I am going to get around to learning how to post pics here. Sure wish I had taken some when we began this project. |

Re: Bunch of work done today.
I just left Roswell this morning, very strange town. Artesia is cool, really love the refinery smell. www.photobucket.com is the easy to use. you just upload your pictures to it and you can get a code to post in your post. After you do it once its so simple.

Re: Bunch of work done today.
Dang, I knew I should have called it! I thought the wheels/tires looked crisper than the truck. Looks good though, for a lift
