wheel studs-please help
Last week I installed a rear discbrake conversion kit from SSBrakes.
Everything fits and works like a charm, BUT: now the wheelstuds are too short too fit the wheelnuts more than 3/4. Doesn't look very safe to me. I need longer studs, but don't know wich ones. Does anybody here know what the sizes are? Threadsize, knurl head size, knurl diameter end length? I tried Summit, Moroso, Arp, etc, but can't find the specs for 1984 Chevy C10 studs. I'm living in Europe, so I'm unable to find studs here in local autopart shops. Please help, this car is my daily driver, and I'm not feeling very comfortable now, afraid a wheel comes off.

As long as the threads go completely thru the nut you are ok, you don't need any extra.

Re: wheel studs-please help
this is factory size
dorman pt # 610-138 Thread Knurl Dia. Length Shoulder 1/2"-20 .535" 1-17/32" 5/16" and this is what I used: dorman pt# 610-298 Thread Knurl Dia. Length Shoulder 1/2"-20 .547" 2" 11/16" For me, it worked perfectly, as I was in the same boat too. I bought a speical drill bit to open the hole just a bit.. but I wasted my money. It didnt make that big of a difference becuase a BFH pressed them in w/o using the bit on the other axle. good luck
