1963 Seat
I am putting a 63 seat in my 62 and have taken it apart and am powder coating the two halves. When I took the seat back off I noticed that it had small plate on the corners of the seat half that I believe is to have an adjustment for the angle of the seat back.
It is only on one side which may mean it was broken off the other side and it would seem you would want them the same on each side. I need to fix the crack weld on one side and make a new one for the other side. Does anyone have a picture of what it is supposed to look like and what the adjustment bolt or stud looks like. |

Re: 1963 Seat
I looked at thread by JOCKO and his pictures show what I need, thanks it looks like they are on both sides and have a nut plate and use a bolt head for the seat back arm to sit on.

Re: 1963 Seat
A last question, is the bolt anything special. It would seem it might be nice to have a rubber cap, but is is just a standard bolt head.

Re: 1963 Seat
The originals were a special headed bolt...... kind of hard to describe. I'm not sure if they were rubber capped or not. You could probably trim down a step bolt to work nicely.
