bed... twisted, uneven, or???
What causes the bed of some trucks to lean more to one side or is it twisted (frame or bed) cause it to look uneven from the back?
Just curious, im new to the truck scene with a 83 C10 lsx build in the planning stages. |

Re: bed... twisted, uneven, or???
Pretty common on the trucks. Usually the passenger side front corner. I have no idea why, but shims will fix it.

Re: bed... twisted, uneven, or???
i have to shim my bed. usually u just jack the box up off the frame a lil then put washers between the bolt to make the bed even or worn out bushings.

Re: bed... twisted, uneven, or???
Yeah i agree with everyone pretty common problem i thought it was my bed then i started looking at others and they were the same.. Another thing is the tailgate gap tapers wider as it goes up on the drivers side on some beds.

Re: bed... twisted, uneven, or???
I had a 1990 s10, and it sagged to on the drivers side, nothing was bent. I figured with 20 years of a tank of gas would weaken that set of leafs. So i had them re-sprung a local shop and it was fine after that.

Re: bed... twisted, uneven, or???
They leaned even when new.
Comes with the territory, by having a separate cab and bed. K
