Brake parts help.

I'm helping my brother with his '57 and we need parts that lmc and other parts houses don't seem to carry. Like the plunger and the emergency brake arm. Any clue where to get stuff like this?

Here's a link to a vintage salvage yard in Phoenix. They've got tons, give a look see or a call. http://www.dvap.com/

When you say "plunger and arm" are you referring to the handle under the dash?

I'm talking about the slave cylinder plunger. I guess that's what it's called. The other piece I'm talking about is where the e-brake cable attaches at the drum itself.

Re: Brake parts help.

You can probably get what you need at your local NAPA store. They should have or can get any brake part. Most of the parts inside the drum are used by a lot of different vehicles and stayed the same for a long time, so are easily available.

Re: Brake parts help.

Haven't checked NAPA which is my fav parts store cause they're aren't many around where we live. I did check O'Reily's and they didn't have what we needed. I'll see if we can't find a NAPA somewhere a little further in town.

Re: Brake parts help.

If you don't find it at NAPA, send me a pic while I look it up in the manual. I probably have it. I will let you know. I am stripping mine.
