Digging up my past
Looking through my old photos and came across some pics of my old drag car from the late 80's .. Thought I would share them .. Enjoy.. It's a 1977 Z/28

It was all steel with frame connectors 4,500 pounds pig... It had a very low budget 355 in it I built from used parts 10.5 to 1 compression 300/600 solid cam 4500 stall .. It had a 5.13 10 bolt posi. It would hike the front wheels about 3'' . The best run I made with the car was 7.98 1/8 mile . Which was pretty fast in the late 80's . Lots of people were spending lots of money to try and get in the 7's . I did it with a motor I built in my garage ... It was a lot of fun considering I was still in high school . Ended up selling the car to buy a house it's stilling running around somewhere . I lost track of it about 5 years ago ..
