FNG from northern Illinois
Hello all. I have been lurking on this board for while now and it has been a great source of information for me so I thought I would introduce myself.
I am a native Texan living just south of the Wisconsin border. I have had a few GM A-body cars and a couple of GM AD trucks in the past, but I just recently bought a 64 Shotbed Fleetside Custom Cab. It was an oklahoma truck that had been sitting in a barn in Madison, WI the past 21 years. It's in nice shape for this part of the country but I am stripping it down to the bare frame and starting over (as usual). I am also a member of a couple of traditional hot rod forums and I currently own a 1928 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan done like an East coast traditional hot rod from the late 50's. I am a member of the Vagabonds car club and we all love traditional hot rods, and customs. There are a few of us in the club that have 60's style custom trucks too. I look forward to learning more about my truck as I spend more time here. Thanks! Here is a link to pics of the truck as I go along: http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/...64ShortNFleet/ Here is a link to pics of the car if anyone is interested: http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w218/TudorJeff/ |
