Well, I'm back!

I came across a hard time this week and had to sell something to get out of it. I sold a 86 Silverado I built with a 6.0 LS swap, frame off, etc. Well, during this chain of events I struck a deal with a great member of this board to buy the Silverado and took a partial trade on a 71 Cheyenne Super in the process. It will also get a frame off rebuild with a few custom additions here and there. It is a factory small block truck with tach, tilt, AM/FM, posi, etc. I should have it here Friday so I will be sure to get alot of pics. It needs outer rockers, cab corners, etc so it should be alot of fun. Hope you guys dont mind me coming back to hang out for a while!

It will be when I'm done with it. I have an entire rolling SWB chassis that will get blasted, coated, and totally rebuilt then I'll set the body on that chassis once all body work is complete. Need to find a good deal on some front and rear drop springs and spindles to get this started!

Welcome back from the dark side ( ). I loved watching your 6.0 build. I know I will enjoy watching this one come together also. Very nice looking truck to start with.

Re: Well, I'm back!

Out of curiousity, is it hugger or medium red. My medium red original paint gets called orange all the time. Congrats on the buy. Looks nice.

I hear ya - my medium red, even though it was weather-worn, could easily have been mistaken for an orange. But, since "Med Red" is a bit subjective, I went with Torch Red on the repaint.

OP - Welcome back and congrats on the new Super!

Re: Well, I'm back!

Mcbassin, I'm thinking big block this time! As for the paint, it's hugger orange. I have always been a fan of this color combo but I absolutely love a black dropper Cheyenne Super so I'm not sure which way this one will go just yet.

Re: Well, I'm back!

Man in my opinion, it's real hard to beat a super nice black SWB in these years! There seem to be so many hugger/white ones any more, I'd go black for sure. And a BBC sounds sweet too!
